Affordable sketchbooks review

Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the best affordable sketchbooks I’ve personally used. I’ll cover the ratings, the reasons you should consider getting each one, and why you might want to skip them. This will be a candid discussion based on my own experiences, so let’s dive in!

5 stars being the best:

Canson Mixed Media- 5/5,  one of my ultimate favorite sketchbooks since I started drawing at a young age.

Pros – the quality of the pages is amazing, the pages are very thick and have a good amount of pages. Handles well almost every medium.

Cons – not the cheapest either

Sketchbook Carnet de dessin- 4/5 good sketchbook but not the best

Pros – good size and a lot of pages, clean look more professional-looking

Cons –  smudges a lot, not great for pencil work

Ankkol sketch book – 2/5 not the best

Pros – cheap

Cons – thin paper

Stratmore Sketch – 3/5 Many artists love this sketchbook but I don’t, still is on the cheaper side, and it’s not completely ‘bad’

Pro – Regular paper doesn’t smudge that much, good for pastels or simple pencil sketch

Cons – pages too thin

Ucreate sketch pad 3.5/5 ok but hear me out….

Pro – good quality paper and super cheap even if it is made for kids

Con? (not really a con) childish cover
